The LEGO Monkie Kid theme is inspired by the Chinese legend of the Monkey King and the classic novel Journey to the West. The line, which launched in 2020, features modern updates to the legend, including mechs, vehicles, and futuristic cityscapes. Sets are often retired after a couple of years, but new waves are consistently released to continue the story.
Several new Monkie Kid sets were revealed for 2025 at the China International Import Expo. These are available on the LEGO website as of January 2025.
LEGO Monkie Kid Erlang's Celestial Mech (80065): Features a large, detailed mech piloted by Erlang Shen, an ally of the heroes.
LEGO Monkie Kid Mythical Creature Qilin (80066): This set lets you build a mythical Qilin creature. It includes minifigures of Mei, Pigsy, and Sandy.
LEGO Monkie Kid Trotting Lantern (80116): A large, minifigure-scale set featuring a creative lantern build for the Lunar New Year. It includes a new snake mascot head minifigure.
LEGO Monkie Kid Good Fortune (80117): Includes a variety of detailed builds centered around the theme of good fortune.
LEGO Monkie Kid Lucky Cat (40813): A smaller, customizable set featuring a Lucky Cat. Stickers are included for decoration.
These sets were released in 2024 to celebrate the theme's 5th anniversary and are still widely available.
LEGO Monkie Kid Megapolis City (80054): A large, detailed set of the central city from the animated series. It can be combined with other city-themed Monkie Kid sets.
